Upon launch the app takes you to where you are in the present.
Select a historical map from the Maps menu.
The opacity slider allows you to control how much you can see the base map.
The Walks menu gives you a list of available guided tours.
Pin points will appear to help you locate key points on the tour.
If you click on a point it will give you more information about the area including photo, text and maybe even an audio clip!

I was looking forward to using this App but it doesn’t work for me. I have an iPhone 4 with the latest software version.
I can see aerial photos but when I select a map nothing happens. I also note that the screenshot on your short video shows different options from those I can see.
I think it would be better if the video had someone talking you through the App.

Hi Stuart
strange – it works for me – i have the iPhone 4.
so you select a map from the list – hit the select button, and assuming that you’re in the rough centre of edinburgh or london (depending which map you chose) it should come down fine.
The Landmark maps are really fast due to the server that they are coming from.
Yes have to admit that the video is old and was for a previous but even slower version!
best
