Very interested in the London Edition of Walk Through Time. I see you posted about it on DU on Weds. Is it gone already?

PS: I was with Andy Hudson Smith yesterday. I’m just so impressed with the work you guys are doing.

strange – it works for me – i have the iPhone 4.
so you select a map from the list – hit the select button, and assuming that you’re in the rough centre of edinburgh or london (depending which map you chose) it should come down fine.
The Landmark maps are really fast due to the server that they are coming from.
Yes have to admit that the video is old and was for a previous but even slower version!

I was looking forward to using this App but it doesn’t work for me. I have an iPhone 4 with the latest software version.
I can see aerial photos but when I select a map nothing happens. I also note that the screenshot on your short video shows different options from those I can see.

I think it would be better if the video had someone talking you through the App.

its all a little temporary at the moment – we have the permission to the use the London map for a short time, but we remain hopeful that we can encourage maps to be released.
I found myself walking over train lines earlier – looking left and right for oncoming steam trains!

For what possible reason is this in a UK store only app? This is a great way to get tourists from around the world to walk around Edinburgh, and most of those don’t have a UK store account.

Absolutely fantastic application. More maps please ! Particularly of London. I’d love to see the excellent reconstruction of Tudor London map added.

the idea is to lobby Landmark who have all the UK maps to adopt our app and release them! having said that a new App would probably cost due to the licensing involved in the maps.

all great thoughts for a second version – yes full screen would be very cool.
it is also slower than we would like – this seems to be a characteristic of the map servers – they aren’t used to throwing data out to mobile devices using a 3G or lower network.
